I bought kanal plot in 2014.
Now I want to construct home but I am confused whether to pursue in Cabinet or sell plot in cabinet and shift to bahria phase 8 with 10 marla plot.
I m oversees and seek advise from cabinet resident & Isloo plz
Location of cabinet is better than Bahria-8. But Bahria is more posh. Do you prefer location over poshness? Then go for cabinet. But if you like posh style of living and excellent facilities but willing to live very far from central Islamabad and in smaller house then go for Bahria.
Some people pay double and live in a crap development like G-14/4 or D-12 while others pay less than half and live in DHA. It's all about preferences.

what's worrying me is the facilities in cabinet.
no mosque, no club, no lights, no boundary wall etc ets :(
Question for you is simple. Do you plan to work in central Islamabad when you get back to Pakistan? Will you want your kids to go to school in main Islamabad or not? If central Islamabad is not your requirement then you should buy in Bahria 8.
I am going through the same dilemma regarding B-17 or I-11/2… Whether location and main islamabad is important or big house and nice living??
If you have the cash then you can live anywhere you want even a bit far from city and a nice sprawling house. Suburban living is the trend in the West. The rich live far and commute to work on the highway. My brother is a senior surgeon in England and he lives in a big house with huge lawns all around it in a village away from the city where he works. All his senior colleagues do the same because fuel cost is not a problem for them. The junior colleagues live in the city.
The issue is whether you have good roads from the suburbs or not. If yes then why not live in a house with trees and lawn and live far. For example a 5 kanal plot in Multi Orchards is ideal from this angle. The drive is on the huge M-1 motorway just like the highways in England and you are nearbye civilization in Wah Cantt plus Islamabad is also not far away.
You are right Pardesi.. Suburban living is the best but not in Pak for the moment as infrastructure and facilities are not up to that standard.. Anyway, problem in B17 and Zone 2 overall I think is that it is near to main Islamabad than DHA/Bahria but the situation when it comes to connectivity with Zone 1, Hospitals, Schools/Colleges, Offices/Jobs etc is not good.. Moreover, CDA etc enjoys some form of security, you never know, the private society might get into trouble or the government might want to make a new road in its middle like they are doing with Lahore Ring Road and BT..
Anyway, it is a 1 kannal plot with 8-10 marla constructed area for me in B-17 or a small 8 marla house in I-11 which is near to main islamabad.. Cabinet is very cheap and nice but cannot match Multi for now.
Sir these may be private society developments but Zone 2 is CDA approved sector area. It is as safe from new road passing through it as Zone 1. But yes security of law and order is indeed better in Zone 1 and will always be. However, with population growth Zone 2 security will also improve very much inshaAllah.
Agreed… I really like a big house with some lawn and trees etc… Sick of living in a box near the road where noisy children and pathetic mohalla have made me a psycho patient almost…

Bahria Enclave is far far more better option then this so called cabinet.
And the price is many times higher too.
Yes price is higher, whereas Cabinet has a very good location… But I think Cabinet has some time especially until roads are further developed that will link it to main islamabad… Bahria Enclave on the other hand gives a very good quality of life and location is not that bad, besides it is beautiful in many aspects… Cabinet’s management is also not able to compete with Bahria’s.

How to choose between E16 and E17? which one is better? I heard that E16 has high tension wires but E17 is clear?
