Is the current property boom over ?

You can be China, Taiwan, Singapore or one of the smallest countries like New Zealand who openly confront US or allies resolutions at UN and other regional forums and are economic super powers in their own capacity.

OR

You can be a Dictator driven ‘Islamic Republic’ who surrnders on a single Phone call to US to hand over Bases, Air Space and all logistic support and can still make a mess. Iran, Zimbabwe etc. have their own dictatorial regimes to blame more than anything else. If these are examples of progressive world, RIP logic.

Yes, International politics matter, it impacts but Nations build on their capacities, national character and principle. Those who see these as hard to achieve nourish generations who all their lives think and believe as if entire Globe has one thing at hand only, that is to Conspire Against Us.

Just a month ago, the lot was cheering now PAK is totally out of Intl. pressure and financial independence and PKR growing. Fact is simple, when we borrow or get loans PKR trmporirely gets strengtheb but at the time of paybacks it will nose dive.

The only way out is realistic approach. If JAP, GER can emerge super powers after total destruction, why can’t we? Facing reality may not be as hard as trying to justify whole world just busy on one agenda, i.e., to destroy us …

Zimbabwe is special case, their leader was an idiot so I don’t think that is a good example but yes I mostly agree. However, we’re still trying to maintain good relations with US but their administration is not even willing to meet us. Best for Pakistan is we continue maintaining good relations with both superpowers China and US.

Yes, the countries stand up bravely against the super powers on legitimate issues, can survive but Switzerland though a small country, has huge reserves on curruption money of currupt leaders of poor countries.
Yes Robert Mughabe was stupid & did not use right approach but Lee of Singapore was a legendary leader.
Our dudes were not able to even think of state’s progress meanings & how could they?
One only knew how to loot money in a Lohar style knowing only Itifaq foundry style, a totally vision less dude stood over Pakistan for three times.
Other dude knew only cenima ticket blacking…
These small country leaders did not fill their own pockets & steered their states under vision & educated the people.

Decide for yourselves …

(Everyone else’s Maa Behan is my democratic right but to point out finger to My Mahatma is Blasphemous).

Latest is that Absolutely Not Puppet is Literally Begging Biden to Give him a Phone Call!!

The famous saying is " don’t judge a book by its cover". you guys always read the title and make your own opinion. here is what is actually said.

“Washington leaned on Pakistan in recent years to help bring senior Taliban Leadership to the negotiating table and secure a deal to exit the country with few attacks on American soldiers. But despite calls from Khan to be a partner for peace and broaden US-Pakistan relations beyond Afghanistan, Biden has yet to call him since taking office this year.”

Sir, the bottom-line

Book Cover: Absolutely Not

Contents:

  • If Biden don’t call and engage PAK has other Options
    (PM, SAPM)

Well those who have options and have the guts to take them, they don’t involve IFs and BUTs, they just take those …

  • US should give us the deserved importance
    (FM)

You are important or you are not, that’s it, begging for what is deserved is/was never deserved actually…

That has been the point of national debate leaving the Sharifs, Bhuttos and Niazis out and think as a nation as to why we can’t stand up as a nation to be more assertive in our policies that have been international embarrassments because we are divided into PML/PPP/PTI not realizing it’s actually Elite (them, they are all the same) vs Public (us, the actual stakeholders)

I’m still waiting for the amnesty extension news. as you are very hopeful that it will get extended without the approval of IMF and FATF.

I’m still on my point that they can’t do it without them.

well, I don’t want to say anything more about it. you are still opting your own opinion by pointing out half of the stance.

That’s what an opinion means and refers to … unless there is a daylight negation of the facts!!

How is reaching out to a key ally begging? This is foreign and international politics. Pakistan clearly wants cordial and good relations with US because upsetting any superpower can be hell for a country. I see this as a good sign because Pakistan is taking initiative to build good relations with other countries - a thing rare in the past where we have ruined relations over small things.

@asim_61 Spot on. US needs and we needs US, Biden seems to be playing hardball right now to gain political leverage. I think he will come to his senses soon enough. As for amnesty, from my FBR contact I am hearing that they are considering and discussing giving some amnesty but not sure about clauses. He mentioned that currently there is already amnesty for builders n purchasers of apartments and high rise buildings. FATF I am telling you is not an issue because the clause and taskpoints they need to fulfill is related to terrorism money laundering and funding which they are working on. Pak Govt has already upset IMF in previous meetings so adding amnesty will not do any harm really because they are not foregoing any tax revenue, in fact collecting more tax and bringing in additional revenue through more money coming under tax net.

Media had been spreading news with misleading headlines since June that we need permission from IMF to extend amnesty but no that is not the case at all. The govt was looking to give further amnesty to builders and contractors, a new one that would further reduce taxes for construction industry but IMF rejected that because it would cost 100 billion loss of tax revenue. Giving black money amnesty is unrelated to IMF. Only obstacle in extending amnesty scheme is that Shaukat Tarin is very anti amnesties as he believes it is bad for economy in long run since it sets poor precedent he believes. He’s held the view for a very long time according to insiders because if govt gives amnesty now, they’ll continue giving it in future periodically so he wants to put an end to it. But now, even he’s considering it because experts are pitching to him that it could further boost economy and reduce impact of covid fourth wave. Govt needs to meet its GDP growth target and giving construction boost will get them there. They are considering giving some extension, I will keenly wait for more news. I cannot predict how good chances are of extension but it is being discussed.

My point has been rather simple, if still plot has been missed …

In South Asian context, the US way of foreign relation has been stick and carrot. You cant do it gracefully by being under shadowed, you need to show a bit of spine if you wanna deal with any US Foreign Sec. I am not a language/speech/text decoder but any one with an iota of sense can see the desperation in PAK stance.

They knew Mush was desperate back in early 2000s for US support, US needed that too and they unleashed Armitage (the bulldog of US Foreign Relations) on Mush and rest is known history to surrender on 1 phone call.

The US threatened to bomb Pakistan "back to the stone age"
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/5369198.stm

That has been the problem where foreign office management has been left to big mouthed clowns that are known to mess that up …

This was the same guy who on his US visit (10 days before IND invoking Article 370) was glad to the point that as if he has won a world cup, little did he knew on big mouthed claims that the nation has lost Kashmir.

My point has been, and is that we need to be realist rather than big mouthed clowns who are known wreckers of any serious matter …

Once again you are focussing on media’s clickbait headlines. I think we have shown enough spine by rejecting USA’s several and desperate requests for access to air bases. We are not desperate at all, it is just media’s headlines. When you get into the details and see what the govt and politicians are saying, then you’ll realise that their approach is correct. As for Musharraf, it wasn’t just US pressure but international pressure because at the time, UN resolution had passed to take action in Afghanistan. Either Pakistan would be against the world or with it. As for USA’s bully tactics, that was typical Bush-era incompetent fools from USA’s side. US can’t even bomb Afghanistan to stone age, it won’t stand a chance against Pakistan. Bush administration was full of bullies with all talk but no show.

Our foreign office right now is the best it has been in decades. How is Kashmir related to that article? Imran Khan is expressing genuine joy and you somehow twist the story to make it negative? I don’t understand diehard fans like you, always grasping at straws and rejecting reality.

I would prefer Media Clickbaits (published and verifiable source) anyday over subjective interpretations of a random profile over online fourm (even if that’s me).

For the sake of facts, UN resolution never binds any soverign state to provide air bases, logistics, intelligence support, manpower and those 8 demands to whom Mush himself referred to as I was thteatened that PAK will be bombed to stone age! For the sake of reality check do consult Turkeys refusal to provide air space upon UN resolution for Iraq (WOMD). Please don’t mix that up to justify a desperate mesure by a dictator whose price we pay till date.

Best Foreign Office (still headed by a man who was referred to as Chor and Nakaam Wazeer e Kharja of Zardari):

  • First, propose and than backoff from joint PAK-Turk-Malaysian summit at last minute.
  • Admit to call Modi thrice but getting a cold shoulder.
  • Just check out UK Amber list and where do we stand.
  • Honks and Silence (cheap gimmicks) on fall of Kashmir to derail the cause when it needed proactive measures and best of diplomacy.

These are tips of the iceberg and I don’t mention a complete failure on getting PIA back to operations on EU routes! And seizure of PIA plan in MYS.

Kashmir is related to this article, when IND was just 10 days away from Invoking Article 370 these morons, with intellignence failure were celebrating a return from US visit as if some national achievement. US helis were entering abbottabad and IND troops strarted to cut of Kashmir from outside days before and our folks were either releasing Mili Naghmay or Celebrating a meetup with trump as life achievement!

When Niazi surrenderes it’s ‘Super Power Kay Saath Saleeka’ when someone else makes IND PM to visit Minar e Pakistan and refuse direct US intervention on Youm-e-Takbeer it’s India ka agent Amreeka ka Pitthu.

PM Imran Khan’s life is in danger: Fawad Chaudhry - SAMAA

Read this brother. If this is happening, then you know Imran Khan is doing something right.

@Its_ImtiaX_88 Yeah sure UN resolution does not bind anyone to take any action but the international pressure that comes along with it forces you into making decisions. The threat was nothing but a bully tactic from Bush administration. Yes joining war on terror was a massive mistake but I don’t think we had many other options.

Really? I’ve never heard of him being referred to as such but rather him referring others (Zardari and co) as chor. Perhaps you should provide link for that. Maybe it’s not as popular as Zardari being referred at Mr 10% so Im not aware of it. The muslim summits and all was a good initiative but rushed I agree, Saudi pressure made us back out of it. UK Amber list is political always has been, I don’t see how foreign minister is to blame for that. The current UK govt is very incompetent anyways and are still upset over their losses in afghanistan.

Once again, you love to grasp at straws. You really don’t have much genuine criticism only made up stories.

I don’t mind that, I am only refering to the point that I see countless men, when confronted with facts either accept that with a grace or take the opposite (usually easier) way out based on accusation …

Yes published news and sources often has misleading and clickbait headlines. Maybe that is new information to you but it has been happening for many years in Pakistan and internationally. Brother, if you had genuine criticism I would admit it but you are creating one-sided narratives and completely ridiculous stories out of the air.

Imtiaz sb’s political analysis has lot more questions but if he could come out from the tunnel where has encapsulated himself, his realestate capacity & knowledge is mostly authentic.
