I am surprised by the fact, folks having Tribune PK and SAMAA as their source have the audacity (read day light hypocricy) to ridicule those who source BBC or Financial Times.

Ask the entire lot to be precise on pointing out ridiculous stories out of the air and all they do is to launch accusations and non-objective allegations.

  1. BBC/FT sources are clickbaits,
  2. No source is Stories Out of the Air.

Yes Media exploits and creates headlines but in Western World Media which is far better regulated and have hefty fines for misleading are Clickbaits but a radom profile on social media is all authentic becaue the folk behind that profile belives in his own Disney Land (Tribune and SAMAA creted Clickbaits are all ok to cite and develop a narrative, because they fit the bill).

The misinformed me would still prefer regulated print/electronic media any given day over random social media profiles lecturing over authenticity of what to read and what not to … (poor me)

It is such a naive practice, neglecting the fact that Pakistan being such a poor country & a pointed target of USA & NATO, being critical all the time, digging in for negativity day & night, what shall be ultimate goal of you?

Reality is UNSC is being led by India for this month so they are blocking all our diplomatic influence on UNSC. Imtiaz sb loves to reject reality and live in his agenda bubble

Spot on Qayyum sb. I am always willing to look at things with open eyes and I myself concede that PTI govt has made some faults but when it comes to economics, we have stopped the snowball building up of debt. Now we should shrink and manage the debt skilfully to avoid future massive loans. If Nawaz, Zardari and co were in charge, they would still be looking to take huge loans for fiscal consumption and spending without care.

@Its_ImtiaX Please at least make effort to read the article. It is a sign of goodwill and Pakistan expects India to reciprocate a vote and support when Pakistan’s turn to sit in UNSC arrives. Past has shown us both nations have been friendly when it comes to voting of UNSC.

Clearly we have a $3 billion trade deficit. Remittances have decreased by about 20% as per foreign exchange president. That means we will be left with a monthly current account deficit of around $1-1.5 billion taking in account remittances will be about 1.5-2 bn. Immediately either need to extend construction amnesty (to increase remittances) or slash imports. I don’t know how we can slash imports because everything we import is already necessary/normal, biggest issue is commodity importing as oil is expensive once again. Immediate action is required by govt.

Under the current situation with the country, we all need to encourage our foreign policy strictly distinct from all political affiliations in the greatest interest of the state but Imtiaz is busy in blame game which is completely synchronized with Nawaz anti state narrative.
Let us dissolve this discussion as now we all have very clearly understood each other at this place.

Asad sb, thanks for sharing. I read the first and will go through the second as well. If you manage to find time to traverse back that has been my point, we the Awam need to be more vocal with our voices on what has been gone wrong and what we need to do without relinace on political clans.

As far as Amnesty, I am sure you can remember when SKA announced the amnesty the very next day, IK came for a presser to warn not to take Amnesty offer because once we get into power we will trace and hunt you.

Anyways, keeping political affiliations or biases aside, such inflow measures should be encouraged becauss last thing we need now is further devaliation …
