This historically incompetent govt of Puppet Niazi is now trying to control exchange rate by arm twisting and threatening Forex dealers. Not very sustainable given what they have done to economy in just 9 months.
But the most worrisome matter is that after running out all U-turns, this puppet regime is now attacking senior judiciary. Arif Alvi has secretly moved reference to judicial council against 3 judges of SC and Sindh HC. One of them is Qazi Faez Isa. Does that ring any bells to you.
Seems something nasty is cooking up underneath, of which this morally corrupt puppet govt is equally part and parcel of. And when this filthy dish is served, the tabdeeli crowed of this forum will jump to take a bite and convince others that it is most delicious.

AQ sb, you are right. Apologies for further divergence from the core of the topics . I advocated the same. However, at times political-economic issues get tied with policies and currency devaluation. So one thread can be an exception albeit maintaining mutual respect for differing point of views.

Currency Devaluation or other trickle down impacts also due to puppet masters firm hands on political puppets, be that NS, AZ or IK. There is no difference among them. The newer the puppet, more control. Older puppets trying to get free, gets the strings stiffed up or cut down. Crackdown on judiciary is one recent example.
For IK, problems are merely self-inflicted, big promises, political baggage of incompetent lot and increasing submission to puppet masters, despite opposition in a shattered state.
For heaven's sake, no more examples and benchmarks of the previous puppets whose corruption tales and misery have been used and narrated to the masses for a decade to get into power. Also the fact the guy that gets fired for incompetency/corruption gets back in the show within months!
Accept realities and move one beyond the container mind-set as still four year+ left to deliver and solidify position politically and historically.

You didn't read my statement correctly. I simply said that the current rupee strengthening is not based on any economic measures by this incompetent govt., but instead it is based on coercive measures, and thus it will not be lasting.
In other words, I am upset at systematic destruction of economy in the hands of Puppet Niazi who could not even build Peshawar BRT in 2 years.
FE situation always gets better before Eid due to heavy inward remittances by Overseas Pakistanis. So show me what this Nalaiq-e-Azam has done?

Sohail and AQ sahib , why are you guys wasting your time on people who have reached to a conclusion in 10 months that one is incompetent but wont say a word for those who spent decades looting this country and we ended up with this mess. To them competent are those who say in darbaar that “agar mairay asasay mairy aamdan say match nahien kartay tu tumhain kia hai bhai” . I have been an admirer of imtiaz sahib as to how solid argument he had always been putting up backing up his argument with facts and figures, but was surprised to see the economic figures presented by him for some recent governments. Its hard to believe he mentioned each and every thing like current account deficit and bla bla bla. but some how missed the internal, external and circular debt figures of successive governmts . There must be a magitian in power who can pay off this debt , for a normal person its almost impossible to pay just 6 billion interest on debt daily.

Level of hypocrisy is nothing short during each tenure. Forgetting about rising debts, unfortunately all key economic indicators showing a reversal under current Admin - firing of Fin. Minister & FBR team is an inevitable proof of that. Moreover, why hire (an unelected) former aide of Zardari to fix the mess that is claimed to be created by the very same guy...?

Regarding debts & repayments:
it's an unfortunate nation that developments increased and debts declined only under dictatorial rules that have been to a large extent under complete submission. Elected parliamnets have never been given or they themselves never valued their power and democratic right and hence have been and are being cut short as mere puppets. Recent example in our living memory are:
- Huge inflow of USDs during our commando's tenure who openly wrote in his book (In the Line of Fire) as to how our agencies received dollars, sometimes in individiual accounts by capturing and transferring 'Wanted Ones' to Guantanamo Bay.
- Obama agreeing to pay logistical & operational expenses to PAK (after providing our Air Spaces, Operational Services and Intelligence) but as soon as Trump came and US lost level of interest in AFG, all of that amount slashed. PAK was asked to send troops to Yemen but assemblies resisted that. I am sure if it was our commando, our forces would have already been landed in Mid East by the time phone call would have been dropped. More dollars would have been inflowed but lots of mess too to be sorted for yrs and decades to come.
- Ayub Khan getting all aid and state level protocols to counter (then) USSR againts US.

We do hope, the power corrupt come into tax net, I mean how can there be second thoughts. However, keeping optimism to lower levels helps avoiding disappointments, as how to proceed if NS, AZ, IK paying few thousand as property tax for hundreds and thousands of Residential land in the name of Jaati Umrah, Bilawal House and Bani Gala Residence.
Tax will be increased on Power/Fuel/Household tariffs (common man utilizations) all of which are highly subsidized/mostly free to Ashrafia & Powerful.

NS never gave any lame excuses that economy is destroyed by his predecessors and that debt burden is keeping him from doing anything for people. He and his team worked day and night to make us viable again. To bring our economic hub, Karachi, back to life. To bring back foreign investors who took stock market to 52,000 points.
