I think at current state zone5 definitely have upper hand as there are big Giants like DHA, Bahria, Emaar. But in more than couple of decades when all the sectors (F-12,13,14 | E-13,14,15 | D-13,14,15) and Marghalla Avenue will be developed then it would be able to compete with zone 5.
Just my personal opinion.
I think the answers is very obvious here as most of the contributors supports zone 5, so battle is clearly won by Zone 5 :)

For people from KPK zone 2 and for people from punjab zone 5 is a natural choice. Further one cannot compare the whole zone, there can be some good societies and some not so good in any zone. Like DHA and Bahria are good in zone 5 and multi is good in zone 2.
@Rehan it is already discussed in another thread that there is no comparison between Bahria/Dha and MPCHS. Those who compare we can just laugh on them,MPCHS is 10-15 years behind Bahria/DHA, that’s not just my point of view its most of the contributors opinion
If you consider Zone 1 as Islamabad then a whole city is situated in between Islamabad and Zone 5: the city and cantt of Rawalpindi!
But in between Islamabad and Zone 2 there is only GT road.
I don't think it is even realistic or accurate to say you have a plot in Islamabad if it is in Zone 5!
For living zone 5 is better but for investment zone 2. Ten years back definitly zone 5 was better for investment but now due to airport , MA zone 2 is better. Don’t under estimate multi, wapda town , awt and ECHS . Bahria town is exception but multi competes DHA in standards have u visited E 11 multi. B 17 will be like this in next five years. Wapda is a giant in lahore and gujranwala has a good potential specially after MA. Same is the case with awt. ECHS standards are also good.Ten years back people were not recommending to leave zone 1 and go for zone 5 with same arguments now people are saying for zone 5 and not recommendind zone 2

Mr. Baloch please review different zones of Islamabad on google u'l have a better idea, please try to avoid unrealistic or inaccurate information if you are not sure about things

@Ahmed I would definitelt laugh if you compare E 11 multi with DHA islamabad. There is no comparison thats why E 11 multi is three to four times expansivw than DHA rawat

No one is denying future potential of Zone 2, but it will take too long (around couple of decades) to stand with zone 5.

2ndly i'm not here to fight regarding e11 and Bahria/DHA everyone knows what facilities bahria is providing and what is the crime rate ratio in bahria as compared to e-11.
Most of e-11 house owners are living in DHA and they have rented out their houses in E-11 I would just say action speaks louder than words again NO COMPARISON
E-11 is not in zone 2 I would repeat please try to avoid inaccurate information

by the way my vote is same as yours. ZONE5.
In one decade zone 2 will be at par or become better than zone 5. MA will turn the table. Airport comletion and possible shifting of GHQ to E 10 will also contribite a lot
@ Ahmed for your informatipn E 11 multi has the same security system like bahria. It has CCTV cameras, control room and good srcurity. B 17 will also have this as per multi. You will soon find people living in B 17 and rented their propert in bahria. You are talking in air with no ground. I know many owners who are living in their houses in E 11. Yes for retired people DHA and BAHRIA is good but not for working class. Remember biggest trigger for zone 2 is not airport but MA. Bahria has no crime rate please check ground realities I think you are living in dream.
Wait to arrive bahria around Zone 2, I hear a doubtful news but every news should have a back ground that Bahria is purchasing land on fateh jang road, such as Grace Land City, and half part of Farm House of Sheikh Rasheed on Fateh Jang road, any one who knows the actual position may have a light on it please.
