Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan on Monday officially launched the ‘Zu bus’ service on three Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) feeder routes in Hayatabad, according to news sources.

The three operational BRT feeder routes are:
- Between the Mall of Hayatabad and Phase-VI via Basharat Market
- Between the Mall of Hayatabad and Haji Camp via Bagh-i-Naran
- Between Karkhano Market and Phase-VII terminal via Industrial Estate
In the initial phase, 25 such buses will be running these routes between multiple points of Hayatabad to the main BRT corridor from 6 am to 10 pm.

Moreover, Khan addressed the launching ceremony and said “the Peshawar BRT project was the best of all such bus systems launched in the country”. He revealed that four more feeder routes will be inaugurated in the near future. He also said that the number of buses and routes will also be expanded to accommodate the increasing demand and population in the city.
Furthermore, the chief minister informed the attendees that the 27-kilometres-long Peshawar BRT main corridor – with its 13-kilometres-long elevated portion – was constructed at the cost of PKR 31 billion.
