Islamabad: The construction of commercial and residential structures in Zone III are illegal as per Capital Development Authority (CDA)’s Zoning Regulations 1992, according to a news report. The CDA has asked all developers to immediately halt their construction activities.
The civic body has also asked the utility service providers including Islamabad Electric Supply Company and Sui northern Gas Pipeline Limited to provide connections only to those who have an NOC from the CDA.
The CDA Planning Wing Director Regional Zafar Iqbal has said that the CDA is evaluating all illegal constructions in Zone III and would take all measures necessary to stop this problem from exacerbating.
