Quetta: Balochistan Assembly has approved the draft bill for setting up the Ziarat Valley Development Authority, according to news published on March 28.

According to Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, establishment of the authority is crucial for the development of the province. He added that the draft bill was approved as the government is aware of the historical importance of Ziarat and the tourism potential it holds. The purpose of setting up the Ziarat Valley Development Authority is to monitor the progress of ongoing development projects in the region and ensure they are completed promptly.

Moreover, the CM disclosed that authority will ensure the protection of tourists from across the country. The approval of the development authority is a huge step forward to promote tourism and infrastructural development in the city as this will strengthen the economy and generate employment opportunities.
