Karachi: Foreign Minister (FM) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari inaugurated the Zia Moheyddin Flyover at Jauhar Chowrangi on Thursday (March 24), a news source reported.

The flyover was constructed by the Sindh Local Government Department to resolve the traffic woes of the commuters. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah, Information Minister Sharjeel Memon, Local Government Minister Nasir Shah, and Social Welfare Minister Shahla Raza.
As per the details, the project encompasses a flyover and an underpass at the Jauhar Chowrangi intersection, which is constructed at a total cost of PKR 2.14 billion. It was revealed that work on the flyover has been completed while that on the underpass is still ongoing.

Zia Moheyddin Flyover is 461 meters long and 18.2 meters wide. The length of the bridge is 226 meters, on which the double arm poles with LED lights have been installed. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, FM Bilawal directed Local Government Minister Nasir Shah to expedite the work on the underpass so it can be completed as soon as possible.
