Lahore: Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has started its Zero Waste Management Operation in the city, reported a news source. The operation is being monitored in person by LWMC Managing Director Farrukh Butt and other senior officials.
To ensure that the project runs successfully, there is a zero tolerance policy for any kind of negligence in the project. In this regard, two officers were suspended, and two were served with show-cause notices. The project has been initiated under the Clean and Green Pakistan project recently announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Similar campaigns are being run and managed in many cities of Pakistan. And that’s in addition to all members of the societies taking part in planting saplings to make Pakistan green and environmentally friendly for its residents.
