Lahore: The Punjab government is all set to launch a youth business loan scheme in the first week of April, a news source quoted Provincial Minister for Industries, Commerce & Investment Mian Aslam Iqbal as saying.

He was addressing a seminar organised by the Punjab Board of Investment & Trade (PBIT) on Wednesday. Representatives of the IT and Tech sector were all present at the occasion.
Under this initiative, the government will provide short-term loans up to PKR 3 million to skilled youth. He said that both young men and women would benefit from this facility.
The minister reiterated his government’s full support to the IT and Tech sector. He appreciated the efforts of PBIT for organising the seminar. He said that the authorities concerned were taking initiatives to introduce regulatory and policy reforms in various sectors.

PBIT Chairman Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan thanked the minister and other guests for their participation. He said that the board would transform Punjab into an economically viable destination for both local and foreign investors.
