Islamabad: Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is planning to open six new Ramada hotels in major cities including Islamabad, Lahore, Hyderabad, and Rawalpindi and launch ‘Howard Johnson’ hotel in order to cash in on the huge tourism of Pakistan, according to media reports.

While talking to the media, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Vice President Development (Middle East, Eurasia & Africa) Panos Loupasis said that Pakistan has immense tourism potential and with these new agreements, the company wants to expand its growth objectives to ‘cater to the Pakistani hotel market’. He revealed that the company aims to bring new traveller segments to the country and support Pakistan by investing in this ‘strategically important market’.
The agreement has been signed recently, under which Howard Johnson by Wyndham will be established in Islamabad’s Blue Area, offering a wide range of facilities. The existing chain, Ramada by Wyndham, will also get six more hotels across the country. Presently, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts have five hotels with over 1,000 rooms in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Multan.
As for six new Ramada Hotels in Pakistan – which is a franchise of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, here’s where they will be established:
- Ramada by Wyndham Murree Lower Topa Resort – to be located in Lower Topa, near lush forests of the mountain resort.
- Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Islamabad Bahria Town – to be established at the entrance of Bahria Town estate on Main G T Road.
- Ramada by Wyndham Rawalpindi Bahria Springs in Intellectual Village (Phase 7) – expected to be established by 2025, this development is likely to be developed as part of River Courtyard in Rawalpindi.
- Ramada by Wyndham Rawalpindi Ayub Park – to be established near Ayub National Park and Rawalpindi Golf Club.
- Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Lahore Cooper Road – to be located near Punjab Assembly, close to Mall Road.
- Ramada by Wyndham Hyderabad Qasimabad – the mixed-use development will be established in central location of busy Jamshoro Road in the city.
Currently, Wyndham has five hotels in the country including Ramada by Wyndham Islamabad, Ramada by Wyndham Multan, Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Karachi, Ramada by Wyndham Karachi Creek, and Ramada by Wyndham Lahore Gulberg 2.
