WWF-P DG Hammad Naqi Khan stated that due to climate change, Pakistan could expect uneven rainfall and heat wave incidents. He added that the country required water management systems to prevent wastage of rainwater. To this effect, he urged on increased green belts in urban areas, fixing water storage tanks for small-scale rooftop rainwater harvesting, and more techniques. He also called for analysing the recent rainfall pattern in Karachi in view of the heavy rainfalls.
