Peshawar: Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) has entered the second phase of the cleanliness drive to improve the city’s drainage system, dispose garbage and create awareness among residents to keep the city clean.
According to a news source, the cleanliness drive was inaugurated by former health minister Mr Shaukat Yousafzai. On the occasion, Mr Yousafzai said that clean Peshawar was a priority for the provincial government, adding that every effort would be made to make the city clean.
He also visited different areas of the city to observe the cleanliness campaign progress and to give suggestions for a successful execution of the campaign. He appreciated WSSP’s efforts in starting the cleanliness drive and said that less importance was given to the city in the past.
He also added that expectations of the people increased after WSSP started rendering its services.
