Peshawar: The Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) Board of Directors (BoD) on Tuesday approved the purchase of a building in Hayatabad, Phase-V and the establishment of a ‘Zone E’ compound for the company, according to news sources.

The decisions were taken in a BoD meeting with BoD Chairman Haji Javed in the chair. The meeting also amended the promotion policy. From now on, the WSSP’s Human Resource Department will evaluate their employees’ work performance in light of the chief executive’s recommendations.

Assistant to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chief minister (CM) Kamran Bangash has appreciated WSSP for their responsible role in control and prevention of the coronavirus infection in the city. The meeting was informed that the WSSP will extend its services to an additional 10 union councils (UCs) from July 1 – for which the department is establishing a fifth Zone E to ensure timely provision of services.
