Islamabad: IdeaGist, the world’s largest tech incubator, has increased its investments from USD 55 million to USD 100 million to support the prime minister’s start-up programme pertaining to innovation in emerging technologies, a news source reported.

IdeaGist founder Hassan Syed recently congratulated the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Prime Minster (PM) Imran Khan on the successful launch of the said initiative. This programme will provide loans and subsidised financing for small-to-medium business ventures in an attempt to promote entrepreneurship and create self-employment opportunities within the country.
As the leading and largest digital incubator globally, as well as a principal supporter of the PM’s start-up programme, IdeaGist is on its way to launch 590 incubators and accelerators in Pakistan, Syed said in a statement.

The digital incubator works around seven major emerging technologies: blockchain, intelligent vehicles, smart robots, 3D printing, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and internet of things, the statement added.
