The government of Pakistan has asked the World Bank to make changes to the “Competitive and Livable City of Karachi Project” worth $230 million as reported by source on April 3.

Accordingto the news sources, the project aims to enhance urban management, services, and business in Karachi, with only 34% of the loan utilized to date, as per news sources. The government wants to extend the project’s deadline and involve more local councils.

They also want to make it easier for the project management unit to handle purchases. These changes are needed because the project has to work with more local councils than planned, and these councils are not as capable as the ones before.
