Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Commissioner Captain (retired) Muhammad Mehmood on Friday (September 18) said that work on various road and infrastructure development projects was currently underway to make Kotli Sattian ‘a resort town like Murree’, a news source reported. He expressed his views on the matter during a visit to the project site.

At the moment, development work on constructing road network and other infrastructure for health, education is underway at Kotli Sattian. These projects are expected to make the area more accessible. According to reports, the Punjab government has allocated funds worth over PKR 951 million for Kotli Sattian during the fiscal year 2020-21. Some of these projects include:
- Construction of 6 kilometre road linking Bostanabad with Panj Peer
- Rehabilitation of the 21-kilometre long road linking Milad Chowk with Gulhara Gali
- Construction of 5.75-kilometre long road linking Lower Topa with Patriata Bypass
- Construction of an 8-kilometre long roa linking Sawar with Panj Peer
- Expansion and rehabilitation of Chowk Pandori, Mator, Panjar, and Beor Road

The funds approved in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) for the current fiscal year will be spent on a total of 45 uplift schemes. Availability of these facilities will make Kotli Sattian a new and popular tourist destination in Rawalpindi Division.
