Lahore: The Punjab government has taken steps to start work on Nullah Leh Expressway and Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) projects, according to the news story published on Monday (December 27).

As per the details, the Punjab government has appointed Communication and Works Department Director Habib ul Haq Randhawa as Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA)’s Chief Engineer. The provincial government has assigned RDA chief engineer to remove the hurdles so work can be started on PKR 30 billion RRR and PKR 104 billion Nullah Leh projects.

Reportedly, work on the Nullah Leh Expressway and Flood Channel could not be started because of various issues. Under this project, a 16.5-kilometre long dual expressway will be constructed along the banks of the Leh drain. The project will also include the construction of bridges and culverts, lining and channelization of the drain, development of green areas near the Nullah Leh and establishment of commercial centres.
