Bahawalpur: Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman has announced that work on the Bahawalpur Ring Road Phase-II will soon commence, which will link Bindra Pulli on Multan Road to Bahawalpur Railway Station, according to news published on July 4. The estimated cost of the Bahawalpur Ring Road Phase-II is PKR 10 billion.

Governor Rehman made this statement during a meeting with a delegation led by former parliamentarian Syed Tabish Alwari, assuring them of the government’s commitment to utilizing all available resources for the city’s development.
The delegation included Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali Maan, Bahawalpur Gymkhana Secretary-General Ijaz Nazim, and other members. The governor also informed the delegation that the central annual grant for Sadiq Public School (SPS) in Bahawalpur has been increased from PKR 20 million to PKR 60 million.

Furthermore, Governor Rehman pledged to establish an IT centre at the new industrial estate in Bahawalpur. He also expressed his intention to introduce the teaching of the Holy Quran in private schools across Punjab.
