Peshawar: Advisor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) on Information Ajmal Wazir on Sunday stated that work on Peshawar-Dera Ismail (DI) Khan Motorway and other mega projects would begin soon, a news source reported.

Wazir said that Peshawar- DI Khan Motorway and Chashma Right Bank Canal projects would greatly benefit the Southern districts of the province. He expressed these views during a visit to the District Headquarters Teaching Hospital in DI Khan.
He expressed his satisfaction with the arrangements made for fighting coronavirus at the hospital. Wazir also termed the results of the smart lockdown imposed in the district as positive. He added that the increasing recovery rate across KP was a positive sign.

With regard to the two mega projects, the advisor said that both Peshawar-DI Khan Motorway and Chashma Right Bank Lift Canal Irrigation schemes were discussed during a meeting between the KP CM and Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan recently. He added that the PM had assured full support to make these projects possible.
