Islamabad: The federal government has decided to begin construction work for the new Gwadar International Airport in March, a news source reported. The airport is being constructed under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework.
The project, worth USD 260 million, will be completed in three years. A Chinese company will develop the airport, while the Civil Aviation Authority will oversee work on its execution. The PC-1 and design of the initiative have already been devised. The project has already faced delays in the past, which is why the government has decided to begin work on it as soon as possible.
