Islamabad: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has completed 41% work on Sukkur-Multan Motorway, according to a news report. The M-5 project will be complete by August 2019.
Work on the project had begun in August 2016. The 6-lane motorway is extremely important for reducing the distance between Multan and Sukkur. The motorway is 329 kilometres in length, and will be completed at a cost of PKR 294 billion.
The traffic will be able to move on the motorway at a speed of 120 kilometres per hour, and it will have 11 interchanges, 8 large bridges, and 30 smaller ones. The motorway will also have 22 toll plazas and 12 service areas.
