Director General of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Makeen Shahbaz on Monday said the Economic Zone, Ring Road and other uplift projects for Rawalpindi city would be started soon.
He said this during his visit to Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI).
On this occasion, among others, MNAs, Shakeel Awan, Malik Ibrar, MPA Shahryar Riaz, RCCI President S. Ali Raza Saeed Shah and members Rawalpindi Chamber were also present.
The DG informed that RDA is working on Ring Road project and its feasibility report has been prepared. The 70-kilometer long Ring Road project would be completed with a huge amount of Rs73 billion. The project will help reduce the traffic load on the city roads and link the city with the Economic Zone.
Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has already approved Ring Road project and after completion of the preliminary work, construction work on the project would be started, he said.
The Director General said the Ring Road project has been devised to improve the road communication of the city. The project will help ensure the economic development of this region and for a better environment of the city.
