Islamabad: The widening and strengthening of Qilla Saifullah-Loralai section of Qilla Saifullah-Multan Highway (N-70) is nearing completion, and will likely be accomplished by the end of the year – a news source reported.
The project has been funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the total cost of the project was estimated at PKR 5,105 million. This was revealed by officials of the National Highway Authority (NHA) on Thursday.
He further revealed that work on the project commenced in August 2016 and was supposed to be completed in February this year, but due to delay in release of funds, it could not be completed in due time.
He further revealed that 93% of the work on the project has been finalised now. N-70 has a total length of about 438 kilometres, 256 of which are situated in Balochistan from Qilla Saifullah to Betawa. The remaining 182 kilometres are situated in Punjab from Betawa to Multan.
