Multan: The Commissioner Multan Imran Sikandar Baloch has planted a plant to mark the beginning of the upgrade of Kalma Chowk green belt as a part of Multan’s comprehensive beautification plan, a news source reported. The Commissioner said on the occasion that after successful launch of beautification plans in Khanewal, Lodhran and Vehari, now it has been launched in Multan as well.
In the first phase, all the central parks and green areas in the city will be beautified by planting different kinds of flowers and plants. Beautification of entry and exit points of the city will also be prioritised. The Commissioner said that Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) has been assigned the task of restoration and beautification of parks.
The Commissioner added that parks for special people will also be restored soon, and that along with plantation drives, there is a need to protect the plants as well.
