Gujranwala: The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Gujranwala has completed development work on the society’s entrance gate, according to a post shared on the authority’s official Facebook page. The post came tagged with a video showing various images of the gate taken during different stages of its development.
Through their official Facebook page, the project authority last shared a development update on August 24, stating that they intended to undertake mega projects in the society on a joint-venture basis. The planned infrastructural works are expected to be aesthetically pleasing and help uplift the lifestyle standards of the society’s members.
The post contained no further information on the nature of the development work the authority plans on conducting on the project site, although the post did state that the pace of development work had been expedited. The FB post further advised all stakeholders to ‘keep a look out to remain updated on the development progress ahead’.

In June, the authority had invited expressions of interest (EPI) for the prequalification of infrastructural developments in two sectors within the society, as well as for the commercial project in the canal area, which also included a theme park. In addition, the EPI also included A-class apartments, 5 and 10-marla houses, a five-star hotel , a medical city with a nursing school, education city, sports complex, a sector mosque, construction of a prefabricated boundary at a select location, and a DHA Club.
Among all of DHA’s ongoing projects, DHA Gujranwala has been known to surprise investors by triggering investment activity that is followed by less hyped, yet major announcements. Stakeholders believe that the authority is again up to something, but they have no idea on what’s coming next since the DHA administration ensures that information on planned and upcoming developments doesn’t get leaked to the public.
