Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) administration has announced that the development work on the recently announced 4,000 LDA City Apartments, planned under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) initiative, has been launched, a news source reported on December 15.

These 4,000 apartments are being constructed under the initial phase of NPHP initiative; the number of these apartment units will be extended eventually. For the construction of these apartments, 4,000 kanals of land out of the total 8,000 kanals is currently being acquired in Mouza Haloki.
The LDA sources said that development work on construction of these apartments will be completed in 2.5 to 3 years. The provincial government has instructed the authority to ensure that the prices of these units are kept within affordable limits.

As per the project details, LDA Town Planning and Engineering Wings have started working on the details of project construction and planning. The authority is working to meet the Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar’s deadline of December 31. The CM is also expected to lay the project’s foundation stone.
