Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza announced that the construction work on Ammar Chowk has been completed and work on Kutchery Chowk will be started soon, according to a news story published on Monday (January 10).

Chairman Murtaza stated that the Ammar Chowk underpass has been opened to traffic on Tuesday (December 28, 2021). He appreciated the quality and speedy development of the said project and was thankful to the Chaklala Cantonment Board, Station Headquarters Rawalpindi, and Frontier Works Organisation for their support and cooperation.
Moreover, the chairman stated that work on Kutchery Chowk will start soon. He disclosed that the said project has been approved by the Central Development Working party at the total cost of PKR 4.7 billion. The two-storey flyover’s design is unique and will be the first of its kind in the country.

Sharing more details, the chairman mentioned that the design work of the project has been completed. Shifting of utility services will start this month while the tendering process will begin in March. Once the work of this project will be completed, work on the Defence project will be started.
