Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Sunday (November 21) informed that the work on Islamabad’s first Art and Display Museum in Sector F-9 Park is taking place at a rapid pace, news sources reported.

Once completed the museum will be managed by a non-official committee of artists. As per the reports, the museum will display detailed images of Islamabad history and artefacts of historical significance. The management informed that the work on the museum will be completed in the next few weeks and it will be open to the public as well. Moreover, CDA also informed that the project to convert the 22-acre Citizen Club to Ghandhara Heritage, Culture and Convention Centre will also be started soon. It was informed that the delay in the project is caused by the vaccination centre that has been set up in the Citizen Club located in F-9 Park.

However, the vaccination centre is expected to be shifted to the Environment Wing, also located in the park while the Environment Wing will be shifted to the Shakarparian arts and crafts centre. As per the plan, after its completion, the newly established Ghandhara Heritage, Culture and Convention Centre will be used for holding conventions, exhibitions and provision of sports facilities, including a gym.
