Quetta: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday said that his decision on easing the country’s lockdown restrictions on April 14 will only be consolidated following consultations with the provinces, a news source reported.

As per the publication, the PM addressed a press conference at Governor House in Quetta and extended his cooperation and assistance to the Balochistan government in supplying maximum relief to its residents. He further called for implementing a coordinated strategy to make sure a continuous supply of food products could be delivered to the province. Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan and Governor Amanullah Khan were also present during the press conference.

PM Khan additionally talked to provincial assembly members and parliamentarians during his visit to Quetta, and said that the provincial and federal governments were working jointly to deal with the crisis posed by the COVID-19 outbreak. He said that the National Command and Control Centre were analysing the country’s situation in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. The premier urged the people to show unity in order to nullify the negative impact of the coronavirus on the nation.
