Karachi: The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered the retrieval of welfare plots being used for marriage halls and commercial activities according to the master plan, a news source reported. SC declared these activities illegal and said that land dedicated for parks should also be retrieved.
According to details, an important meeting took place chaired by Justice Gulzar Ahmad at Supreme Court Karachi Registry. High officials also attended the meeting. These decisions were taken and directions issued at the meeting.
Justice Gulzar also instructed that modern libraries should be established in all the phases of Defence Housing Authority (DHA). He also took notice of construction on the road between Karachi Metropolitan Corporation building and City Court and demanded a reply from the relevant authorities.
Supreme Court took notice of illegal construction on the four lakes of Karachi and directed that illegal constructions should be removed.
