Lahore: The Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) has announced to start the Mela Chiraghan festival on March 15, 2019, according to a publication. The annual festival marks the urs of Punjabi sufi saint and poet Shah Hussain.
Through this publication, WCLA invites sponsors to fund the festival.

Mela Chiraghan will feature performances by malangs, dholchis, folk artists, qawwals and banghra artists. Food stalls and local handicrafts stalls have been planned to add further appeal to the festival. The musical performances will take place between March 29 and March 31.

WCLA has invited performers, food vendors, members of civil society, students of schools, colleges and universities, and other sponsors interested in the festivals.
