Previously, the Sindh government had submitted proposals to this effect to the international agency for approval. The WB officials are expected to approve the project by the end of June.
The initiative would help increase equitable and sustainable access to safe water and sanitation services in Karachi. It will also address the challenges of infrastructure gaps and operational under-performance of the KWSB.
