Lahore: Deputy Commissioner Lahore Sameer Ahmed Syed visited the sites to set up water treatment plants in the city, for the land acquisition of which Government of Punjab has issued funds, according to a news source. Under this project, the polluted water channelled to River Ravi will first be treated.
Syed visited Nain Skukh and Khokhar Village and inspected the site for setting up the water treatment plants. During his trip, WASA Managing Director and Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue, and Assistant Commissioner Lahore also accompanied him.
According to Syed, 250 acres of land will be acquired in Khokhar Village, and 95 acres in Nain Sukh.
