Islamabad: The authorities have restored the water supply from the Rawal Dam after an agreement was reached between the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Punjab government — according to a recent news source. As per the agreement, Rawal Park will also be reopened for the public.

The water supply to Islamabad has been restored after the CDA cleared funds worth PKR 32 million that it owed to the Small Dams Organisation Punjab. The supply of water from the Rawal Dam is expected to be restored later this week.

As part of the aforementioned initiative, Rawal Park will also be opened to the public and boating facilities will be reinitiated. Moreover, the Islamabad Police has been instructed to make arrangements to provide security at the park. As a result, the park is expected to once again serve as a major tourist spot in the twin cities.
