Islamabad: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) is all set to launch construction on the missing link of the main water supply line from the Shah Allah Ditta reservoir to secure a sustainable water supply system for Sectors G-13 and G-14, according to news on January 11.

As per the authority, the FGEHA has already approved the PC-I for the construction of the missing link of the main water supply line from Shah Allah Ditta Reservoir – which will ensure a permanent supply of water in the said sectors.
It was highlighted that the main water line is about 14 kilometres long, the majority of the construction of which has already been constructed by the Capital Development Authority. With the latest development, the missing 2-kilometre link in the water supply will be completed.

As per the sources, the project will be completed in a year as Sectors G-13 and G-14 are facing a lack of 2.5 MGD of water and the authority is planning to use this link to get an additional 1 MGD of water from Khanpur Dam.
