Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan inaugurated the Gwadar Water Treatment Plant on Sunday, a news source reported. During his visit to the port city, the CM was informed about the functions of the facility, which has been completed at a cost of PKR 300 million.

Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) Director General Sajjad Baloch was also present at the event. He said that the water treatment plant has been completed within a short span of time as per the CM’s directives. He added that the project’s pipeline will also be completed within the next ten days.
Baloch informed that the project would provide water to Gwadar’s residents for both domestic and agricultural use. In response, CM Kamal expressed his satisfaction with the project’s completion. He further called for the launch of a tree plantation drive with the water treatment plant’s help.

The CM also visited the Gwadar District Headquarters Hospital. He has ordered to expand the facility to accommodate fifty beds.
