Islamabad: Due to monsoon rains, water levels in rivers and water reservoirs have increased, reported a news source. With levels going up, the threats for water crisis also subside.
According to information shared earlier by the department concerned, River Sindh received 231,000 cusecs at Tarbela, River Kabul at Nowshehra received 66,300 cusecs of water, while River Jhelum and River Chenab were recorded to receive 82,400 cusecs and cusec 33,400 cusecs respectively. Consequently, water levels in all dams and reservoirs including Tarbela Dam, Mangla Dam, Jinnah Barrage, Chasma Barrage, Guddu Barrage, Sakkar Barrage, Kotri Barrage, and Tonsa Barrage.
This year, Pakistan Metrological Department, Pakistan is expected to receive more monsoon rains this year, which will increase the water levels further in the dams, keeping Pakistan safe from facing water crisis at least during this year.
