Islamabad: Silani Welfare Trust and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) has installed a model water filtration plant near F-9 Park and Bolan Gate, a news source reported. The plant was inaugurated by Mayor Sheikh Ansar Aziz.
Speaking on the occasion, the mayor stated that not only does MCI install new water filtration plants, it also regularly collects samples from existing plants and sends it to laboratories for tests. He said that the city currently has 39 water filtration plants and approval for nine more plants has also been given.
Out of the nine approved, two water filtration plants will be established in Sector I-9, two in I-10, three in G-8, two in G-10, and one each will be installed in sectors F-7 and F-8.
