The authority has selected Kuri and Dhoke Jando, next to Nicholson’s Monument, as the proposed sites and their final approval will be given at the upcoming CDA board meeting. As per authority sources, the sanitation directorate – in collaboration with Urban Unit Team – will offer information on the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) and the clearance certificates.
For the clearance and EIA, the consultant hired by CDA will split the cost of surveys and drone assessment including the future impacts of the site on the local population and wildlife. It was reported that the two sites were selected from a pool of seven proposed sites.
