Lahore: Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) plans on launching two more mega-projects in the city that involve the protection of underground water and the construction of a major sewerage line – a news source reported.

The agency will get approval for the projects in the next meeting of the Central Development Working Party (CDWP). The PC-1 for projects involving the protection of underground aquifers, improving the drainage system, and water treatment plans, have been sent to the federal government for approval. The meeting of CDWP will be held on September 23 in Islamabad, where the projects will be presented for approval.

Under one of the projects, a sewerage line will be laid between Larex Colony and Gulshan-e-Ravi. Additionally, the 33-kilometre sewerage line will help with the proper drainage of water in Dharampura, Zafar Ali Road, Gulberg, Shadman, and Shah Jamal.
