Multan: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has begun proceedings to have the land where the department is based transferred to itself, a news source reported. WASA department was established in April 1992, however the titles of buildings and land under its use have not yet been transferred to it.
According to details, WASA has formed a team from its different departments to make efforts to have WASA land transferred to its name. WASA has land and buildings for water and sewerage, disposal centres, commercial and residential buildings, agricultural and commercial land, nurseries, and offices under its use. However, all of these are owned by Government of Punjab or Municipal Corportation.
The teams formed will work to have these properties transferred to WASA’s name.
