Lahore: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) on Wednesday set up a mobile lab in Lahore in a bid to provide free-of-cost water-testing services to the citizens at their doorsteps, according to news sources.

The inaugural ceremony in this regard was held at the hockey stadium in Johar Town. In his inaugural address, Senator Waleed Iqbal assured that 75% of the population will be provided clean water during the next 2.5 years.
On his part, Provincial Minister for Housing Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed revealed that WASA had become a ‘role model for the whole country’.

Meanwhile, WASA Managing Director (MD) Syed Zahid Aziz said the water metering project will be completed in two years and work on surface water treatment plant project will begin soon.
