Rawalpindi: Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Rawalpindi Managing Director (MD) Muhammad Saleem Ashraf has announced that FIRs will be lodged against defaulters to address revenue recovery issues, according to a news article on February 21.

In a meeting convened on Tuesday, MD Ashraf chaired discussions where he emphasised the urgency of accelerating ongoing efforts to increase revenue recovery and disconnect illegal water connections. Reviewing the progress made in revenue recovery, MD Ashraf underscored the necessity of taking legal action against defaulters without bias or discrimination. He stressed the immediate disconnection of sewage and water connections belonging to defaulters.

Furthermore, MD Ashraf instructed officers to conduct daily performance reviews of all revenue inspectors and to prepare performance reports based on specified targets. He also warned of strict disciplinary action against officials found negligent in revenue collection processes.
