Lahore: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has redefined its vision for introducing more customer-friendly services and also improving its quality, stated a news report. The agency described its vision and mission as “To be a leader in sustainable water and wastewater management”, and has vowed to improve clean and drinking water supply. The RDA also added that it would install new wastewater treatment facilities in Lahore to meet its needs.
The WASA Managing Director Syed Zahid Aziz said that the mission and vision of the agency has been described to meet the needs of the city and that a number of new projects will be introduced. The agency will ensure quality, reliability and efficiency of water supply and treatment facilities and adapting these facilities as per technological enhancements.
According to Aziz, WASA is getting approval to construct a state-of-the-art laboratory, which will be equipped with the latest modern instruments to provide clean drinking water in conformity with World Health Organisation standards.
