Faisalabad: In view of the heavy volume of rains, the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has been put on high alert, and the vacations of its employees and staff have been cancelled, a news source reported. Instructions have also been issued to keep the machinery updated.
The number of flood camps established in the city and surrounding areas have been increased from 8 to 12 and to remove water from low ground, sucker machines have been provided as well. Speaking on the matter, WASA Managing Director (MD) Chaudhary Faqeer Hussain stated that the rains are expected to be heavier than usual this monsoon, and all steps are being taken to avoid any sort of issues.
