Letters, to this effect, have been sent to the Municipal Corporation and the District Council Rawalpindi for implementing the decision in cases of property commercialisation and transfers. This NOC requirement is expected to allow WASA to recover its dues from defaulters.
WASA to submit plans for its financial revival
WASA Director Revenue Jamshed Aftab revealed the news in a recent meeting with the revenue staff. He informed the staff members present that in the aforementioned letters, the chief officers of the Municipal Corporation and District Council Rawalpindi had been requested to make the NOC requirement mandatory for a change in the status of property or for consolidating its transfer.
WASA, meanwhile, is preparing the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the issuance of NOCs within three days of dues clearance.
A survey is also planned under the new arrangement for preparing the data of domestic and commercial properties to facilitate this end.
