Lahore: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has announced plans to transition its Lahore offices to solar power, responding to the soaring electricity bills, according to the news published on November 5.

During a meeting held on Saturday, WASA Managing Director (MD) Ghufran Ahmad emphasized the urgent need to switch to solar energy in order to alleviate the financial strain caused by exorbitant electricity costs.

WASA MD Ahmad emphasised the need for all offices, including the head office, directors’ offices, executive engineers’ offices, and SDOs, to transition to solar power as soon as possible. He instructed the officers responsible to submit a workable proposal within the next few days.
