According to reports, WASA’s project has been delayed for years owing to the lack of required funds – PKR 40 billion. However, the agency is now working to hire a consultant, who will be tasked with conducting the feasibility study for the additional wastewater treatment plants and examining the existing study for previously planned plants. The consultant will also be required to prepare a report of recommendation, formulate the PC-I, finalise project designs and create tender documents.
